Thanks to our central location, the Garmisch pedestrian zone with numerous shops, restaurants and cafés is just a stone's throw away, as is the Hausberg gondola and the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn. But we can also explore the center of Partenkirchen with the venerable Ludwigsstrasse on foot.
In addition, Garmisch-Partenkirchen offers endless possibilities - all year round. Be it hiking, mountain biking, skiing or just relaxing and immersing yourself in our wonderful nature. There is something to suit every taste.

Right in the heart of Garmisch-Partenkirchen at Klammstraße 27, the “Haus Wally” was popular as a guest house for many years. As a bed and breakfast with a shared shower and toilet, it was run by Hildegard Thieme for over 20 years. Before her, her father-in-law, Hans Thieme, had run it, who had taken it over from his relative “Wally”.
In total, the house has opened its doors to guests from all over the world for over 40 years. However, after such a long time it has served its purpose and it was time for something new...
The house was demolished and rebuilt as a holiday apartment “Zur Wally”. We have been welcoming you back to Klammstrasse 27 since December 2019.
